A few dictionary pages were changed today, and a few new pages were added. The Dictionary pages are changed all the time as new terms are added or terms with larger definitions are moved to their own pages. Here is a short list of the original page, then the new page that the definition moved to. So in these cases if a term showed up a number of times on a page, the related terms were moved to a separate page. This makes the term repeat on one page, which should help in searching on that term, and it rounds out both old and new pages.

A new page which addresses the term EPROM was added, which also includes EEPROM.

GDDR5 Pinout for ICs

A new page was added to address the IC pinout for GDDR5 IC's. The main GDDR page is located at GDDR DIMM Descriptions. This is the only pin out listed for GDDR IC's, GDDR5 IC Pin out. How ever ther are a number of pages that list PC Memory Module Pinouts.
GDDR5 integrated circuites are being produced by at least two companies. The diagram is from a Qimonda data sheet

xD-Picture Card Pinout
I finally added the pin out for the xD-Picture flash card. The xD Picture card is used in digital cameras, but may be in decline due to the many other flash card formats. Also updated the Multi-Media Card page.

interface buses navigation

Following yesterdays addition of the listing for microSD connector manufacturers, two additional pages to cover miniSD connector manufacturers and of course Secure Digital connector manufacturers were added.
At the same time I added the microSD and miniSD links to the alphabetic interface bus listing.
From the data shown in the attached graphic it does not appear that a listing of computer buses in alphabetic order is required or at least used that much. I assume designers find the required bus by function, type, or name.
So the series of pages were started last Feb. but only receive about 10 or 20 hits a-day, with a total pageview count of 3,869 for the year.

microSD Connectors
In regards to the Mirco-Secure Digital 'microSD' page, a listings was started that provides microSD connector manufacturer. This new listing is linked off the microSD Description page.
microSD is the smallest of the Secure Digital family of products. The microSD card format is one of many 'thumb' drive flash formats. microSD happens to be the smallest form factor

Secure Digital Card Format
I made some small up-dates to the Secure Digital format family of pages. There is no root page, but the Secure Digital [SD] page is located on the Secure Digital Card Pinout page. The SD page provides the signal assignments and a very small description. The SD Card points to the Secure Digital I/O card page [SDIO]. The SDIO page again provides a card pin out.
Not sure which page point to the MiniSD card page, or the MicroSD card page. But, in all cases these are pinout pages with no real bus or interface description.
Looks like it's time to up-date these pages. The complete list of possible Flash Memory card formats. Which are all listed off the main Personal Computer Buses page.....
I think MicroSD is still the smallest card format you can get.
Again these are pin out tables [pinout] or sometimes called signal assignments ~ the pin out as seen from the interface or connector. A description is missing from any of the pages

IC Memory Types
I added a page to cover Ovonics Unified Memory, which happen to be the same as Phase-change Memory IC's. Both types are listed off the sub-page for Non-Volatile Memory IC's. Both of these are new types of memory, so there are no manufacturers for either of these types of IC memories.
The main IC Memory page is listed here; IC Memory Types. I also updated the IC Memory Acronyms page, and the Engineering Acronyms 'On' page.
Should only be a few hundred more pages until I get the Google search bar added to all the pages...

DIMM Form Factors

This page provides the physical sizes of DIMM cards. The Memory Module Physical Sizes page really just accounts for DDR II or DDR III memory modules.
Older DIMM formats and SIMM formats are listed under the main Memory Module pinout page. SIMM cards are obsolete.
The top right of the Memory Module Form Factor page also provides links to all the other DIMM related pages;
